Hodgkin's disease, mixed cellularity type

Clinical features: 1) Usually adults, male > female. 2) Stage may be more advanced with lymph nodes, spleen, liver & bone marrow involvement. 3) Moderately aggressive course, often curable. Pathology: 1) classic Reed-Sternberg and some lacunar cells seen. 2) lymphocytes, histiocytes, plasma cells, eosinophils & neutrophils present. Immunophenotype: tumor cells - CD15 +/- - CD30 + - CD45 - - B-cell & T-cell antigens usually - - EMA - Genetics: - Ig & TCR genes usually germline - EBV +, 60-70%
